Bound by Stone - in an era when the single fastest growing group in our country is the elderly and nursing homes are sprouting like wildflower, we take a look at a small segment of this population, hell-bent on pursuing their passions and risking life and limb in the process. While others extend their lives through medicine and technology, they extend out their necks, over preciptious and perilous edges, embracing life and their health as they grapple with the aging process. This film takes a look at perhaps the boldest sexto, septo, and octogenerarians on the planet, climbers and mountaineers well past retirement, pushing the limits of their sports and their bodies as they embrace their passions, goals, and life; begging questions about the benefits of extending
